When the Nissan Maxima debuted in the 1990’s it fit the void between the midsize family sedan and the European sport sedans. Its powerful V6 and upscale interior bridged that gap very nicely and earned loyal fan base as well as strong name recognition.
2009 - 2011
The 2011 Maxima model serves as an attractive alternative to many entry-level luxury sedans for its impressive driving dynamics, high-quality interior, and stylish exterior. The 2011 model is available in two trims, S and SV, each very well equipped with a long list of standard features.
•Standard 3.5-Liter V6 engine
•Dual-zone automatic climate control
•Keyless push button start
•Front and rear head airbags and dual front side-mounted airbags
•Stability and traction control
•Remote anti-theft alarm system
The sixth-generation Maxima saw few changes through the years, with the exception of a transmission change in the 2007 model year. Nissan’s Continuously Variable Transmission was created and added to the 2007 and 2008 models. Previous models came with either a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.
