What Do Your Dashboard Lights Mean?
Have a Question?
There’s a lot to know about our cars. That’s why it can be hard sometimes to know what everything means. Well, here at Pfeiffer Used Cars and Quick Lane we are here to help you with an important part of your car: dashboard lights. Here’s what some of the most important lights mean.
Check Engine Light
This light looks like a mini engine and will illuminate when there’s a problem with your engine. However, it can be tricky to figure out what the problem is on your own. You’ll have to go to a mechanic when this lights up.
Oil Pressure Warning
If you see a light pop up that looks like a mini oil can, or maybe a genie bottle, that means you should check your oil. This will light up when there’s a problem with your either your oil pressure, so make sure to check your oil level and pressure right away.
Washer Fluid Reminder
Do you see a mini windshield light up on your dashboard? If you do, then that means that your washer fluid is low. Fill up your washer fluid reservoir to make this light go away and to make sure you can see through your windshield.
Engine Temperature Warning Light
This light looks like a thermometer that is floating in water. What it means is that your engine might be too hot. You should check on it immediately if this light pops up to prevent it from overheating and breaking down.
If a little battery lights up on your dash, this means that there might be something wrong with your car’s charging system. It means that you’re just running on battery power.
